Hotel Residence am Hauptbahnhof

Nice clean rooms. Very close to main train station. Large family room for a bunch of guys on a stag. Very clean. Zero complaints regarding hotel. Surprised with the low review score. Supermarket a stones throw away. Amazing Turkish kebab restaurant opposite. Rooms and showers nice.

What are these people talking about ??? This is the best place I have stayed since long time. We start with price which is unbeatable. The location is perfect !! There is no danger or anything, the street is full of life and vibe, there are restaurants everywhere and supermarket just near by. There is no bad neighborhood or anything like this! The room was huge with nice desk and table if you want to do some work, and the last most important super quiet!!

Rooms were clean enough, but communal areas could have been a bit nicer

Nice location, close to Hauptbahnhof. Very polite stuff. Room was hot in the very cold winter weather. The ranking of this hotel is ridiculously low, it absolutely deserves higher grade so I'm going to give it a 9 although it's more lika a solid 8. I red there supposed to be problems with the neighborhood, I stayed with my wife and we didn't see anything like that, hotel's located in the street where you have a big market and a lot of busy fast food's, can't see how people can attack you there.

Didn't have high expectations after seeing the review score, but it was perfectly reasonable and conveniently located, excellent for a night's stay if you miss your train connections and get stuck in Hamburg overnight.
